Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald will not play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles due to a back injury, head coach Sean McVay announced Friday, according to team writer Stu Jackson.
However, star wide receiver Puka Nacua will return after missing two games with a hip injury. McVay said Nacua "looked sharp" in practice Thursday, but the team is working on a plan to manage his snaps against the Eagles, according to ESPN's Sarah Barshop.
Rams cornerback Jaylen Watson and tight end Terrance Ferguson were also ruled out. Watson is dealing with a shoulder injury, while Ferguson is hampered by an ankle issue.
Donald didn't practice this week.
The 35-year-old came out of retirement to rejoin the Rams this offseason. He missed the team's Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Australia as he continued to ramp up.
Donald has registered four tackles and a tackle for a loss in two games. He is still seeking his first sack of the season.
Los Angeles entered the 2026 campaign with Super Bowl expectations but owns a 1-2 record. The team has been ravaged by injuries, with Donald, Nacua, and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett all missing time. The latter is on IR after undergoing knee surgery following Week 1.
