Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker is unlikely to play on Sunday Night Football against the Detroit Lions due to a quad injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Coker was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. After missing Wednesday's practice, he was listed as a limited participant for the final two sessions of the week.
The 24-year-old exited the Panthers' 21-18 loss to the Cleveland Browns in the third quarter of the Week 3 contest and didn't return. He played through an ankle injury in the last two games, which resulted in him being listed as questionable for last Sunday's matchup.
Coker is Carolina's leading receiver through three contests, catching 18 of 22 targets for 222 yards and two touchdowns. The undrafted free agent out of Holy Cross signed a three-year, $35-million extension with the Panthers this offseason.
The Panthers elevated wide receiver Ja'seem Reed from the practice squad on Saturday. Behind Tetairoa McMillan, Brycen Tremayne, John Metchie, and David Moore round out the team's wide receiver depth chart.
Sunday Night Football between the 1-2 Panthers and 2-1 Lions is scheduled to kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET.
