The Minnesota Vikings signed free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to their practice squad, the team announced Wednesday.
The New York Giants released Beckham on Sept. 29 after he appeared in three games this season. The 33-year-old recorded just one target and zero catches during his second stint with the franchise. Beckham hauled in five receptions for 70 yards in the preseason.
In Minnesota, the three-time Pro Bowler will be reunited with head coach Kevin O'Connell and offensive coordinator Wes Phillips, whom he worked alongside during the Los Angeles Rams' run to Super Bowl LVI in 2021.
Prior to his brief reunion with the Giants, Beckham had last played in 2024, suiting up in nine games for the Miami Dolphins. The NFL suspended him for the first six games of the 2025 campaign for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, and he ultimately sat out the entire season.
After being selected in the first round of the 2014 draft, Beckham was named Offensive Rookie of the Year and posted three straight seasons of at least 1,300 receiving yards. He later spent time with the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens.
Beckham, who has 575 catches for 7,987 yards and 59 touchdowns in 122 career games, is expected to provide depth for a Vikings receiving corps that includes fellow LSU alum Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and Jauan Jennings. Jefferson missed Minnesota's win over the Dolphins last week due to an ankle injury.
The Vikings also signed receiver Jeshaun Jones to their practice squad Wednesday.
