The Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a deal to trade wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport.
The Cardinals informed Harrison on Saturday morning that he will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions as the details of the trade are finalized.
Arizona fielded calls centered around Harrison for the last few weeks, but no trade involving the 24-year-old wideout will be completed until after Sunday's games are played, Schefter reports.
The Houston Texans are among the teams that have held talks with the Cardinals and are believed to be in the mix for Harrison, according to Schefter and Rapoport.
The Indianapolis Colts have also reportedly done their due diligence on the wide receiver. Harrison's father, a Hall of Fame wideout, played with the Colts for his entire 13-year career.
The Cardinals were requesting at least a second-round draft pick and perhaps an additional mid-round selection in any trade talks involving Harrison, sources told The Ringer's Tom Pelissero.
Harrison, the fourth overall pick in the 2024 draft, has delivered underwhelming results to begin his third season in Arizona. The 24-year-old has caught five passes for 85 yards and a touchdown in four games.
The Cardinals receiver has $6.3 million guaranteed remaining on his rookie contract.
The Ohio State product entered the league with high expectations. Harrison caught 62 passes for 885 yards and eight touchdowns during his rookie campaign in 2024. But he's struggled to replicate those numbers, recording 41 catches for 608 yards and four scores last season.
Harrison previously shrugged off trade speculation earlier this week.
"Truthfully, I pay it no mind," Harrison said Thursday. "I'm only focused on Detroit, helping the Cardinals win football games at the moment. So whatever rumors you're talking about, I don't pay it no mind."
