The Washington Commanders have no plans to make any coaching changes following the team's Week 5 late-game debacle against the New York Giants, a source told ESPN's John Keim.
Head coach Dan Quinn declined to comment Monday about whether he believes his job is in jeopardy after Sunday's game, but said he met with owner Josh Harris afterward, as is standard protocol.
"I do know how the league goes. I'm well aware of that," Quinn said about his job security.
He added, "Trust me, no one is pleased with this outcome and where we're at. But we do have those hard conversations, we're honest about what we're at and what we need to fix and what we need to work on. And so I like having that communication with him."
After a Giants fumble in overtime gave Washington a final possession to win the game on, quarterback Jayden Daniels marched the offense down to New York's 24-yard line with 50 seconds left. However, the offense didn't run another play until 12 seconds remained.
Daniels then dropped back to pass, but ultimately ran to the left and slid down with around eight seconds left. The quarterback and offense failed to get lined up and spike the ball before the clock ran out, ending the game in a tie.

Quinn told reporters that offensive coordinator David Blough called the final play of the game, but that he's responsible for making sure the operation runs smoothly as the head coach.
"All of that comes through me," Quinn said. "Dave's the one that calls it, but I want to make sure I'm clear on my guidelines, too. This will break down in a lot of ways, so it starts with me first."
He added, "It took entirely too long to execute our strategy. From subbing to clock awareness to clocking the ball."
Washington fell to 1-3-1 and sits last in the NFC East. Quinn, hired in 2024, now holds a 6-15-1 record since making the NFC Championship Game in his first year.
The Commanders will face off against the San Francisco 49ers (5-0) on Monday Night Football in Week 6.
