Trade candidates
Colts RB Jonathan Taylor
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 27 | 2028 | Vikings |
2026 stats: 140 carries, 587 yards, 8 TDs; 178 receiving yards
The Colts have already traded key starters Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner, and Taylor is expected to be next, as the team's most appealing trade chip. He led the NFL with 20 scrimmage touchdowns last year and remains a scoring machine who could help a Super Bowl contender right away.
Chargers EDGE Khalil Mack
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 35 | 2026 | Bears |
2026 stats: 3 sacks, 16 pressures, 19 tackles
Mack's sack totals have fallen over the last couple seasons, but his pressure numbers remain solid. In the right situation, Mack is still a very capable starter who can complement a top-tier pass-rusher and hold his own against the run. With his contract expiring, the nine-time Pro Bowler doesn't carry any real risk.
Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr.
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 24 | 2027 | Rams |
2026 stats: 9 catches, 105 yards, 1 TD
There's no question the Jaguars would be selling low on Thomas, who looked like a budding superstar as a rookie before quickly falling off. But it's clear Thomas doesn't fit in Liam Coen's offense, and the longer Jacksonville waits to move him, the more his value declines. A year ago, the Jaguars may have gotten a first-round pick for him; now, they might settle for a Day 2 pick or a veteran player.
Cardinals S Budda Baker
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 30 | 2027 | Bills |
2026 stats: 44 tackles (4 for loss), 4 pass breakups, 3.5 sacks, 1 INT
Baker has been a cornerstone of Arizona's defense for a decade with standout leadership and playmaking ability. The high-motor defensive back has continued to make an impact this year in the box and as a blitzer, and he could provide immediate production for teams that have playoff aspirations but are still struggling in the secondary. Any club acquiring Baker would have flexibility with his contract since his 2027 base salary isn't guaranteed.
Cardinals EDGE Josh Sweat
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 29 | 2027 | Ravens |
2026 stats: 2 sacks, 12 pressures, 16 tackles
Sweat has been involved in trade rumors almost from the moment he signed with the Cardinals two years ago. Arizona is going nowhere fast, and edge rushers are always a hot commodity on the trade market. With another season left on his contract, Sweat is the perfect target for a contender working with a multi-year window to chase down a championship.
Titans RB Tony Pollard
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 29 | 2026 | Giants |
2026 stats: 112 carries, 478 yards, 4 TDs
Pollard just had a three-touchdown game and remains a productive, versatile tailback with solid pass-blocking skills. He's quietly topped 1,000 rushing yards each of the last four seasons, and the rebuilding Titans would be smart to collect extra draft picks by trading him to an RB-needy contender.
Chargers S Derwin James
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 30 | 2029 | Ravens |
2026 stats: 21 tackles, 1 pass breakup (3 games)
After resetting the safety market in May, James has plenty of good football in front of him despite currently battling a nagging hamstring issue. He's the type of piece who could bring back a major haul if the Chargers are interested in a large-scale rebuild. Jeffery Simmons just got traded after signing an extension this summer, so even though James has been part of the fabric of the Chargers for the last nine years, he shouldn't feel too safe in L.A.
Jets WR Garrett Wilson
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 26 | 2030 | Chiefs |
2026 stats: 37 catches, 444 yards, 3 TDs
Wilson has said that he wants to stay with the Jets, but with New York once again nowhere near playoff contention, the standout receiver is a trade candidate. His usage is in question, as he's on pace for 124 targets this season, which would be a career low. Wilson is under contract for another four campaigns at a reasonable $32.5 million per year.
Raiders DE Maxx Crosby
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 29 | 2029 | Lions |
2026 stats: 2 sacks, 37 pressures, 18 tackles
There hasn't been much trade chatter around Crosby lately despite the fact that the Raiders all but officially dealt him seven months ago. Of course, the Ravens flagged his physical and withdrew the agreement, keeping Crosby with the only NFL team he's ever known. The five-time Pro Bowler may well stick in Las Vegas through another trade deadline, but if the Silver and Black were willing to ship him out before, they'd surely be willing to deal him now if the price is right.
Eagles CB Riq Woolen
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 27 | 2026 | Lions |
2026 stats: 27 tackles, 6 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble
Woolen would be an affordable rental given his $1.26-million base salary. The former Seahawk hasn't been great in pass coverage, but his big-play potential could offer upside to a struggling secondary. Woolen, whose six interceptions led the NFL in 2022, has posted 59 pass breakups and 12 picks in 71 career appearances.
Eagles G Landon Dickerson
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 28 | 2028 | Saints |
2026 stats: 9 pressures allowed (2 games)
The Eagles already shipped out one struggling offensive lineman in Cam Jurgens; they'd surely love to move another. Dickerson has struggled mightily over the last two seasons, with injuries playing into his undoing. The Ravens took a swing on Jurgens, and the early returns have been promising. It shouldn't come as a surprise if a team kicks the tires on Dickerson, a three-time Pro Bowler who has no guaranteed money left on his deal after 2026.
Chargers EDGE Tuli Tuipulotu
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 24 | 2026 | Panthers |
2026 stats: 2 sacks, 19 pressures, 26 tackles
The Chargers held off on giving Tuipulotu a long-term extension before the season. They could go back to the negotiating table before free agency, or they can explore his market now if his price tag is out of their comfort zone. Tuipulotu recorded 21.5 sacks from 2024-25. Like Mack, his sacks are down this season, but he's still generating pressure - a positive predictor for sacks.
Raiders QB Kirk Cousins
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 38 | 2026 | Vikings |
2026 stats: 1,877 yards, 16 TDs, 5 INTs
It's hard to envision the Raiders moving their starting quarterback, who, at worst, could mentor No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza for the rest of the year. But he'd make all the sense in the world for a playoff contender in need of a short-term upgrade at quarterback.
Jets RB Breece Hall
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 2028 | Broncos |
2026 stats: 51 carries, 163 yards, 1 TD; 102 receiving yards
A quad injury has kept Hall out of the lineup since Week 4. In the meantime, Braelon Allen has been thriving, potentially making Hall expendable. Hall has never quite lived up to the early-career hype, but he's averaged a solid 4.4 yards per carry over five seasons. When healthy, he's got home-run ability out of the backfield.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 31 | 2026 | Jaguars |
2026 stats: 22 catches, 228 yards, 2 TDs
Goedert has been a model of consistency throughout his career and could be a difference-maker in the right situation. He's a quality blocker and a reliable target over the middle of the field, and he possesses a ton of playoff experience that could benefit a young team on the rise. The Eagles have found ways to keep Goedert despite facing cap crunches the last couple years, but this is probably the right time to part ways.
Titans S Amani Hooker
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 28 | 2028 | Bills |
2026 stats: 46 tackles (1 for loss), 3 pass breakups, 2 INTs
Tennessee traded away Simmons, and Hooker could be next. He's a productive defensive back who can line up as a deep safety, in the slot, and in the box. Hooker has stood out in coverage this year, grabbing two picks while allowing an 81.2 passer rating on 25 targets.
Chargers WR Quentin Johnston
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 2026 | Giants |
2026 stats: 8 catches, 165 yards, 0 TDs
Johnston had success when the Chargers leaned on a downfield passing attack, but his transition into Mike McDaniel's scheme hasn't gone well. He's always had issues with drops, but Johnston is still capable of getting behind the defense and making plays deep. With the right quarterback, in the right system, Johnston could provide value.
Colts WR Josh Downs
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 25 | 2026 | Packers |
2026 stats: 26 catches, 307 yards, 0 TDs
Amid a sell-off in Indianapolis, Downs reportedly asked the Colts to trade him. It's unclear whether his request is contract-related; Downs is a pending free agent, and the Colts don't have a general manager after firing Chris Ballard. The fourth-year pass-catcher is undersized but shifty, and he works best in the slot. Downs looked to be an ascending talent before experiencing a downtick in production the last two years.
Buccaneers EDGE Yaya Diaby
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 27 | 2026 | Seahawks |
2026 stats: 16 tackles (6 for loss), 3 sacks, 2 pass breakups, 1 INT
Diaby is on an expiring rookie contract, and it would be surprising if Tampa Bay signed him to a new deal; the Bucs roster multiple younger pass-rushers, including team sack leader David Walker and first-round rookie Rueben Bain Jr. That could make Diaby expendable. He registered at least seven sacks in two of his first three seasons and hasn't missed a game since entering the league as a third-round pick in 2023.
Vikings WR Jauan Jennings
| Age 🎂 | Signed through ✍️ | Best fit 🤔 |
|---|---|---|
| 29 | 2026 | 49ers |
2026 stats: 4 catches, 43 yards, 0 TDs
You might be asking yourself: Why would the No. 1 team in the league be looking to subtract from its roster? Well, Jennings has been a complete nonfactor in Minnesota, to the point where the Vikings may prefer to give his roster spot to someone else. Plus, he might welcome a greater role elsewhere. Jennings had a good run in San Francisco before signing with the Vikings, and the 49ers sure could use a fresh body in their banged-up receiving corps.
