Leafs' Pacioretty week-to-week with lower-body injury
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Pacioretty is week-to-week with a lower-body injury and was placed on injured reserve Monday, the team announced.
Pacioretty, 35, exited Saturday's victory over the Montreal Canadiens clutching his left leg.
Pacioretty has two goals and six points in 13 games this season.
The Leafs signed Pacioretty to a one-year contract with a $873,770 cap hit after he attended Toronto's training camp on a professional tryout. Pacioretty earned a $313,115 performance bonus for hitting the 10-game mark. He has another at the same amount if he reaches 35 contests.
Pacioretty tallied four goals and 23 points in 47 games last season with the Washington Capitals after recovering from his second Achilles tear.
Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews remains on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.
