The Edmonton Oilers signed blue-liner Ty Emberson to a two-year extension carrying an average annual value of $1.3 million, the team announced Saturday.
Emberson was set to become an unrestricted free agent.
The 24-year-old recorded two goals and 11 assists during the regular season while averaging 15:07 of ice time per game. He was acquired from the Sharks in August in a trade that sent defenseman Cody Ceci and a 2025 third-round pick to San Jose.
Emberson was selected in the third round of the 2018 NHL Draft. He spent three years with the Wisconsin Badgers before signing an entry-level contract in 2021.
