The Buffalo Sabres chose not to practice Friday before heading to Montreal for Game 6, head coach Lindy Ruff said, according to TSN's Mark Masters.

The Sabres lost 6-3 in Thursday's Game 5 after leading 3-2 in the first period. Buffalo now trails 3-2 in the series.

"I know the pressure they're feeling. I know how they feel and care. A day away from the rink is a good thing," Ruff said, according to WGRZ's Paul Hamilton.

Ruff also said Buffalo likely won't skate Saturday morning before Game 6 either.

"We'll save everything we got for tomorrow night," Ruff explained, according to Masters.
