The Toronto Maple Leafs traded winger Nick Robertson to the Pittsburgh Penguins for a fourth-round pick, the teams announced Wednesday.
Robertson is a pending restricted free agent and under team control until 2029.
The 24-year-old tallied 16 goals and 16 assists while playing a career-high 78 games last season. He's averaged 17 goals and 14 assists per 82 games in his six-year NHL career in just 11:52 per contest.
The Maple Leafs selected Robertson in the second round of the 2019 draft while Kyle Dubas was the team's general manager. Dubas is now the president of hockey operations and GM in Pittsburgh.
