Marchand claims 4th Paris gold in 200m individual medley

French swimming sensation Leon Marchand won his fourth gold medal of the Paris Games with victory in the men's 200m individual medley Friday.
Marchand's time of 1:54.06 is an Olympic record but narrowly fails to break Ryan Lochte's 13-year-old world record.
The 22-year-old continued a star-making run of dominance in Paris. He earned golds in the 400m individual medley, 200m breaststroke, and 200m butterfly - the latter two coming hours apart in the same evening.
Only two male swimmers, Michael Phelps and Mark Spitz, have ever won more than three individual gold medals at a single Olympic Games.
