The 108th PGA Championship takes place this week at Aronimink Golf Club, just outside of Philadelphia. The loaded 156-man field will compete for the Wanamaker Trophy - awarded to the winner of the season's second major.
Scottie Scheffler enters the tournament as the +475 betting favorite, followed closely by reigning Masters champion Rory McIlroy at +800. Cameron Young, who won the Players Championship and the Cadillac Championship, is third at +1100, creating a clear big three.

Scottie Scheffler
Scheffler is the defending champion and has three straight runner-up results leading into the PGA Championship. Aronimink sets up perfectly for his ball-striking prowess and wicked short game.
Rory McIlroy
McIlroy has recorded just one start since winning the Masters, finishing T19 last week at Quail Hollow. He's made it clear his only goal is to rack up as many majors as possible before his career ends, and he won't be taking his foot off the gas after winning the green jacket - unlike last year.
Cameron Young
Young is the best player in the world without a major championship, and this week in Philly may be his best opportunity to break through. You could argue he's playing better than any golfer at the moment, having captured The Players, contended late at the Masters, and claimed a signature event between Augusta and Aronimink.
Jon Rahm
Given his track record in majors, it's understandable that Rahm's considered a favorite. However, he's not one of the four best players in this field. He's contended in just one of the last eight majors.
Xander Schauffele
Schauffele feels overvalued in the betting market. Despite a remarkable major history and his 2025 PGA Championship win, he has yet to truly contend in any of this season's biggest tournaments. At the Players Championship, he entered the final round five shots off the lead and finished alone in third.
Ludvig Aberg
Aberg doesn't have a major crown and seems poised to claim one soon, just like Young. Still, he's listed ahead of Matt Fitzpatrick and Bryson DeChambeau on the oddsboard, making him overvalued by the betting market.

🏌️ Bet: Cameron Young to win (+1100)
It's Young's time. He's playing better than nearly everyone in this field, and his game suits major-championship tests, especially the one Aronimink will present. If Young hadn't lost five strokes putting in the final round at Quail Hollow, we could be talking about a player entering the week with back-to-back signature victories.
🏌️ Bet: Matt Fitzpatrick to win (+2200)
Fitzpatrick may be the second-hottest player in the world at the moment. He nearly won The Players, captured the RBC Heritage, and then followed up with a team victory alongside his brother, Alex. You could argue that Fitzpatrick should be fourth on the oddsboard.
💥 Long shots
At last week's Truist Championship, Spaun ranked eighth in strokes gained: tee to green and picked up nearly two strokes on the green. The reigning U.S. Open champion also collected a victory in Texas five starts ago and placed T14 at the Cadillac Championship. Trending toward another high finish in a major, Spaun is worth taking a flier on at +6000.
🏌️ Bet: Nicolai Hojgaard (+6000)
Hojgaard has the tools to contend - and win - a major championship, he just hasn't put it all together. That said, he's playing some incredible golf this season, including a runner-up result last week in Charlotte, where he finished third in strokes gained: tee to green. With three top-three results in his last 10 events, Hojgaard seems on the verge of a breakthrough victory if he continues his strong form.
