Czechia's Cihar named WJHC MVP

Czechia forward Vojtech Cihar was named MVP of the 2026 World Junior Championship despite his country's loss to Sweden in Monday's gold-medal game.
Cihar, a second-round pick by the Los Angeles Kings in 2025, paced Czechia with 12 points in the tournament. He was integral to Czechia's upset over Canada in the semifinal, scoring a pair of goals in his country's 6-4 victory.
Positional awards and the media All-Star team for the tournament were also announced.
