Veteran forward DeWanna Bonner is signing with the Atlanta Dream, sources told ESPN's Alexa Philippou.

Her deal is at the prorated max of approximately $116,000, Philippou adds.

The Phoenix Mercury recently agreed to a contract buyout with Bonner, allowing her to pursue a new club ahead of the WNBA playoffs.

Bonner is averaging 10.6 points, 6.1 boards, 1.5 assists, and 1.2 steals across 37 appearances this season. The 39-year-old gives the Dream an experienced option off the bench that can slot in at guard or forward.

Bonner spent parts of 12 campaigns with the Mercury after being selected fifth overall by the club in 2009. She's a six-time All-Star selection, three-time Sixth Woman of the Year winner, and two-time WNBA champ.

Bonner sits third on the league's all-time scoring list behind Diana Taurasi and Tina Charles.
