Canadians win silver in short track speedskating mixed relay
The Canadian speedskating team of Kim Boutin, William Dandjinou, Felix Roussel, and Courtney Sarault won silver in the mixed relay short track event Tuesday at the Milan Cortina Olympics.

Host nation Italy started off its Tuesday claiming another gold while Belgium rounded out the podium in third with bronze.
This is Boutin's fifth Olympic medal. She is expected to retire following the 2026 Games and now has two silvers and three bronzes in her career.
Steven Dubois and Florence Brunelle were also awarded silver medals for their participation on Canada's mixed relay team in the quarterfinals and semis of the event.
"It sets the tone. It is nice to have and to share as a team," Dandjinou told CBC Sports. "Obviously, I wanted more, but I always want more. ... But you can never be sad about a silver medal, especially at this level."
This is Canada's third medal of the Milan Cortina Olympics so far after winning bronze in both women's freestyle skiing slopestyle (Megan Oldham) and women's 3,000m speedskating (Valerie Maltais).
Italy leads the 2026 Games thus far with 10 total medals.
