Colombia and Portugal played out an entertaining goalless draw in Miami on Saturday that allowed Los Cafeteros to win Group K and forced Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. to settle for second place.
Colombia thought it had won the World Cup match in stoppage time through a Davinson Sanchez header, but the defender was offside by a literal toe and the goal was ruled out.

The draw was still enough for Colombia to top the group, however, and the South American side will now play Ghana in the last 32.
Portugal, meanwhile, will head to Toronto for a mouthwatering matchup against Croatia that will see former Real Madrid teammates Ronaldo and Luka Modric lock horns.
Victory in that contest would likely result in a last-16 encounter with Spain, but manager Roberto Martinez isn't looking ahead.
"Now it's time to adjust, improve, and steer the matches where we want them, with more possession and better control," he said, according to ESPN's Mark Ogden. "This is part of the World Cup, part of the existing tactics, and as I said, we needed these three matches to reach our best level. It was a very valuable match.
"We want to be here for eight matches and it is a different tournament now."
Elsewhere in the group, DR Congo defeated Uzbekistan 3-1 to advance as one of the best third-place teams.
