The round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup is officially set.

Colombia secured the last remaining berth in the next knockout stage with a 1-0 victory over Ghana on Friday.

Jhon Arias' close-range finish in the 14th minute was the lone goal of the match in Kansas City. Los Cafeteros failed to capitalize on several other opportunities, but the Black Stars couldn't make Colombia pay for that profligacy in front of goal.

Colombia, which has conceded just once in four matches at this summer's tournament, will now take on Switzerland in the last 16.

Should Colombia and Argentina both win their respective last-16 matches, they'll meet in the quarterfinals. That would be a rematch of the most recent Copa America final, which Argentina won in extra time.

"We have won absolutely nothing (yet)," Colombia star Luis Diaz said after Friday's victory over Ghana, according to ESPN. "These games are very difficult. Every game we've seen has been tight. The good thing and the positive thing is that we're playing very well, we feel comfortable, we are being a family, we are working as a team, and that will work for what is coming."

The World Cup final is slated for July 19 at MetLife Stadium.
