Dodgers' Muncy out at least 6 weeks with bone bruise in knee
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy said Thursday he will be sidelined for at least six weeks after suffering a knee injury against the Chicago White Sox, according to David Vassegh of AM 570.
Muncy was placed on the 10-day injured list after being diagnosed with a left knee bone bruise. Outfielder Esteury Ruiz was recalled to fill out the active roster.
The 34-year-old Muncy suffered the ailment Wednesday when White Sox baserunner Michael A. Taylor dove into him while attempting to steal third base during the sixth inning.

"It was obviously amazing hearing the news that nothing was torn, nothing was ripped," Muncy said, according to ESPN. "That was obviously a huge sigh of relief for me, but it still sounds like too long of a time in my head."
He added: "It was tough news, but it was also great news in terms of when you look at the play and just the injury that could have happened."
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Miguel Rojas, Enrique Hernandez, and Tommy Edman will man the hot corner during Muncy's absence.
Muncy, a two-time All-Star, has played a key role for the NL West-leading Dodgers this season. He's recorded 13 homers with 55 RBIs and an .832 OPS over 81 games.
