The Athletics signed right-hander Aaron Civale to a one-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.

Civale's deal will pay him a base salary of $6 million, sources told Jeff Passan of ESPN. He can also earn an additional $1.5 million through incentives.

The 30-year-old authored a 4.85 ERA with 1.26 WHIP and 7.8 K/9 over 102 innings (18 starts) between the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Cubs last season.

Civale adds another veteran arm to a 2026 A's rotation led by Luis Severino and Jeffrey Springs.

The seven-year veteran has also pitched for the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays during his MLB career.

The Athletics designated right-handers Grant Holman and Mitch Spence for assignment to make room for Civale and Scott Barlow, who also signed a one-year deal with the West Sacramento-based club Tuesday.
