The Arizona Diamondbacks are retaining longtime manager Torey Lovullo, sources told Steve Gilbert of MLB.com.
Lovullo is getting a two-year contract, a source told The Arizona Republic's Nick Piecoro.
Lovullo's reported new deal lines the skipper up contractually with general manager Mike Hazen.
The 61-year-old's contract was set to expire at the end of this season. On Sunday, after the D-Backs failed to qualify for the postseason, he said, "I want to be wanted."
Lovullo owns a 750-768 record since becoming Arizona's manager prior to the 2017 campaign. He's posted five winning seasons and led the club to an appearance in the 2023 World Series.
The 2017 NL Manager of the Year is MLB's third-longest-tenured skipper behind Kevin Cash of the Tampa Bay Rays and Dave Roberts of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
