Bulls dismiss exec Karnisovas, GM Eversley
The Chicago Bulls parted ways with executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley, the team announced Monday.
"These decisions are never easy, especially when they involve people we respect both personally and professionally," Bulls CEO Michael Reinsdorf said in a statement. "We are grateful for their dedication and the work they've put in over the past six years. At the same time, we have not had the success our fans deserve, and it's my responsibility to go in a new direction. This move is about positioning our team for sustained success moving forward."
Karnisovas and Eversley both joined the Bulls in 2020. Chicago made only one postseason appearance under their watch.
The Bulls (29-49) were recently eliminated from this year's playoff race, and they've lost seven games in a row.
Karnisovas and Eversley were very active in their final season with the Bulls, dealing away several players before the trade deadline, including Coby White.
