Jacksonville State defeated Troy 17-13 to take the Salute to Veterans Bowl on Tuesday.
Defenses dominated Tuesday's affair in Alabama, with the Gamecocks coming away with a victory after intercepting Trojans quarterback Tucker Kilcrease twice.
