Eagles' DeVonta Smith ruled out for SNF vs. Rams
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith won't be in the lineup for the Sunday Night Football matchup against the Los Angeles Rams due to a hamstring injury.
Smith didn't participate in this week's practices prior to the Eagles releasing their final injury report Friday. The fourth-year wideout caught four passes for 29 yards in last week's win against the Washington Commanders.
The 26-year-old leads Philadelphia's pass-catchers with 41 catches for four touchdowns and 516 yards.
Smith's absence opens the door for more opportunities for Jahan Dotson, Johnny Wilson, and Ainias Smith. A.J. Brown and Dallas Goedert lead the way for the Eagles, who rank 22nd in passing yards per game (198.6).
The Eagles (8-2) seek to extend their win streak to seven games against a Rams defense that's surrendered 223.3 passing yards per contest through 10 games.
