Report: Ward impresses Titans, who add a private workout for QB
The Tennessee Titans are holding an additional private workout for Miami quarterback Cam Ward, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Tennessee is becoming increasingly impressed with the signal-caller, Schefter added. While the Titans are expected to listen to offers for the No. 1 selection in the 2025 draft, acquiring the pick would reportedly take an even stronger package.
Ward showcased his talents Monday at Miami's pro day. Many top Titans coaches and front office members were in attendance, including head coach Brian Callahan, general manager Mike Borgonzi, and president of football operations Chad Brinker.
The 22-year-old told Titans brass during the pro day he wanted to prove he's worthy of the top selection in the draft.
"I'm solidifying (being the top pick) today. I made sure they heard me," Ward said he told Tennessee management after throwing a completion during the workout.
Ward is considered one of the top quarterbacks in April's draft. He spent 2024 with the Hurricanes after transferring from Washington State. Ward led college football with 39 touchdown passes last season while adding 4,313 yards through the air.
Will Levis and Brandon Allen are the only signal-callers currently on Tennessee's roster. Levis, a 2023 second-round pick, has struggled since entering the league, ranking 40th in EPA/play among 42 quarterbacks who have taken at least 400 snaps over the past two years, according to Ben Baldwin's database.
