The Las Vegas Raiders and quarterback Geno Smith agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Smith's extension is worth $75 million with a max value of $85.5 million, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. It also reportedly includes $66.5 million guaranteed.

The 34-year-old is now under contract for the next three seasons with the Raiders, who acquired him in a March trade with the Seattle Seahawks. His new average annual salary ranks 16th among quarterbacks (tied with former Las Vegas passer Derek Carr), according to Over The Cap.

Smith started for three full seasons in Seattle from 2022-24, posting a 68.5% completion rate while averaging 4,075 yards and 24 touchdowns against 12 interceptions per year.

The two-time Pro Bowler posted a career year in '22 after leading the league with a 69.8% completion rate and passing for 30 TDs, comfortably his personal best.

The Raiders have been looking for a new reliable starting quarterback since parting ways with Carr at the end of the 2022 season. Las Vegas has started five different QBs in the last two years, including three in 2024.

Pete Carroll was hired as head coach this year. Carroll, who previously worked with Smith in Seattle, is also signed through the 2027 season with a fourth-year team option.
