Report: Broncos interested in moving up in Round 1
The Denver Broncos may not wait until pick No. 20 to make their first selection Thursday in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Denver has made inquiries about moving up in Round 1, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
It's unknown which teams have been contacted by the Broncos. However, while there's a lack of clubs willing to trade up in the first round, at least eight teams could be interested in moving back, according to Schefter.
Those teams reportedly are the Jacksonville Jaguars (fifth overall pick), Carolina Panthers (eighth), San Francisco 49ers (11th), Atlanta Falcons (15th), Seattle Seahawks (18th), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (19th), Pittsburgh Steelers (21st), and Minnesota Vikings (24th).
It remains unclear what Denver's 2025 draft strategy is, but the team has been strongly linked to running backs, including Omarion Hampton. The North Carolina product is widely considered the second-best tailback available behind Ashton Jeanty, who's expected to be a top-10 pick.
The Broncos trade down before taking running back TreVeyon Henderson at No. 34 in the latest edition of theScore's NFL mock draft.
