Lions' St. Brown expects to be ready for camp after knee surgery
Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown hasn't been participating in Detroit's on-field program so far this offseason because he's recovering from knee surgery.
"I had a surgery on my knee after the season just to clean some stuff up," St. Brown told reporters Thursday, according to ESPN's Eric Woodyard. "So I've been rehabbing that, but I should be good to go for training camp."
Detroit's training camp will start sometime in late July.
The star wideout appeared in all 17 games last season. St. Brown led the Lions with 115 receptions, 1,263 receiving yards, and a career-high 12 touchdowns. The 2021 fourth-round pick was selected to his third consecutive Pro Bowl and was a first-team All-Pro for the second time in his career in 2024.
Detroit made the playoffs for the second year in a row as the NFC's No. 1 seed. However, the Lions were upset by the Washington Commanders at home in the divisional round.
Entering Detroit's fifth season under head coach Dan Campbell, St. Brown said the team is only focused on its ultimate goal.
"At this point, we want to win a Super Bowl - that's it," St. Brown said. "Obviously, we've got to make the playoffs to win the Super Bowl, but that's understood by everyone. So we want to win the Super Bowl. Plain and simple."
The Lions will begin their latest quest for their first Lombardi Trophy on Sept. 7 against the Green Bay Packers.
