The Baltimore Ravens have signed wide receiver Rashod Bateman to a contract extension, the team announced Thursday.

It's a three-year, $36.75-million deal with $20 million guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The contract locks Bateman up through the 2029 season.

"Rashod made a big jump last year, and we are excited to watch him this season," general manager Eric DeCosta said in a team statement. "He's a young playmaker who is an important piece of our offense. Congratulations to Rashod and his family!"

Bateman had the best season of his career last year, recording 45 receptions for 756 yards and nine touchdowns on 72 targets. It was the first time he was healthy for every regular-season contest.

Bateman's 16.8 yards per reception ranked third in the league behind Alec Pierce and Jameson Williams. He was also the only player to average over 16 yards per catch and record at least nine touchdowns.

The 25-year-old entered the league as a first-round pick in 2021 out of Minnesota. He has 1,923 yards and 13 scores in 51 career games.
