The Dallas Cowboys are trading a 2026 seventh-round pick for Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson, the teams announced Tuesday.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones teased a trade Monday ahead of Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET trade deadline.

Wilson recently requested a trade from the Bengals and will look to aid a Cowboys defense that ranks 31st in points allowed and yardage allowed.

The 29-year-old made seven starts for Cincinnati this season but has played only 67% of the team's defensive snaps, his lowest total since his 2020 rookie campaign.

Wilson recorded 100-plus tackles each year from 2021-24, including a career-high 135 tackles in 2023. He's shown a knack for finding the football, with 11 interceptions since entering the league.

Wilson was the first of two trades the Cowboys made Tuesday, as the franchise later acquired star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams from the New York Jets.

The downfall of Dallas' defense has been one of the biggest storylines in the aftermath of the Micah Parsons trade. In its first season without the star pass-rusher, the unit is allowing 30.8 points per game while ranking 29th against the run and 30th against the pass. The 3-5-1 Cowboys sit well adrift of the 6-2 Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East.
