The Ravens have the highest projected win total in the AFC at 11.5. They won eight games last season as Lamar Jackson missed time due to a back injury. Baltimore has surpassed 11.5 wins twice in the past six seasons, and it owns one of the easier schedules based on opponents' 2025 win percentages. A play on the Ravens' win total feels like a bet on Jackson's health.

The betting market expects Patrick Mahomes to be ready early in the season, if not by Week 1. The Chiefs are in one of the strongest divisions and have the second-toughest strength of schedule. Under 10.5 is more likely than over based on the odds, which seems appropriate given all that remains uncertain in Kansas City.

Nine AFC teams have a win total of 9.5 or higher. Some of them will surely underachieve. The Broncos, Texans, and Jaguars stick out as 2025 playoff teams that could regress.

NFC win totals

Team Win total Odds to win NFC

49ers 10.5 (+120) +900
Packers 10.5 (+125) +750
Bears 9.5 (+110) +1200
Cowboys 8.5 (-150) +1300
Buccaneers 8.5 (-110) +1800
Vikings 8.5 (+110) +2500
Commanders 7.5 (-130) +2500
Giants 7.5 (-110) +3500

The Rams sit atop the NFC with an 11.5 win total. Although they won 12 games last season, it was only the second time they've reached that total during Matthew Stafford's five years in L.A. In a division with the 49ers and reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks, 12 victories seems like a high bar to clear.

Five NFC teams have a 10.5 total, compared to the AFC's two. The Seahawks, Eagles, Packers, Lions, and 49ers are all expected to challenge the Rams for the conference crown.

Only the Cardinals have a win total below 7.5, demonstrating that oddsmakers are unsure which teams will emerge as playoff contenders among a balanced NFC and which ones will be battling Arizona in the basement.
