San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel is expected to miss "at least a couple of weeks" with a hamstring injury, head coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
He sustained the injury during Sunday's win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Samuel ranks third on the 49ers in scrimmage yards (284) this season, trailing only Christian McCaffrey and Mike Evans.
The 30-year-old is the latest San Francisco wide receiver to go down with an injury. The team is already without Ricky Pearsall, Christian Kirk, Demarcus Robinson, and rookie De'Zhaun Stribling.
Third-year pro Jacob Cowing and journeyman Brandin Cooks figure to see expanded roles with Samuel sidelined.
Samuel spent six seasons with the 49ers before being traded to the Washington Commanders in 2025. He rejoined San Francisco as a free agent in July.
