Brandon Aiyuk is eyeing a return to the NFL.
The former second-team All-Pro receiver has hired agent Drew Rosenhaus with the idea of rejoining the league.
"Working on getting him back to work and playing again in the NFL," Rosenhaus said about Aiyuk, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Aiyuk parted ways with his previous agent, Ryan Williams, in June.
The 28-year-old pass-catcher hasn't played since tearing his ACL in October 2024, just months after signing a four-year, $120-million extension with the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers placed Aiyuk on the reserve/left team list in December after he stopped showing up at the team facility while recovering from his knee injury. Aiyuk must apply for reinstatement to play in the NFL again.
San Francisco has repeatedly said Aiyuk won't return to the team, but his future remains in limbo because he hasn't formally applied for reinstatement, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner.
Aiyuk called out the 49ers on social media multiple times during the offseason. The former 1,000-yard receiver also pledged in June to join the Washington Commanders.
