The New York Jets ruled out wide receiver Garrett Wilson from their Week 9 game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a concussion.

Wilson entered the NFL's concussion protocol earlier this week, and Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said Wilson is considered day-to-day. The star receiver also hasn't practiced since Sunday's contest.

The 26-year-old leads New York in receiving yards this season, recording 43 catches for 523 yards and three touchdowns in eight games. Wilson caught six of 12 targets for 83 yards in last week's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Jets will now rely on Adonai Mitchell and rookie Omar Cooper Jr. as Geno Smith's top outside targets. Cooper didn't have a target last week after posting back-to-back 100-plus-yard receiving games in the prior two contests.

Running back Breece Hall, who's been out since Week 3 with a quad injury, fully participated in Thursday's practice and is projected to return Sunday.
