PGA Championship bets: Bryson's finish among 7 props to play

The PGA Championship at Aronimink is fast approaching, so it's time to fill out the remainder of our weekly betting card with a wide array of props. We've already covered our favorite outright bets to win the tournament here.

Let's dive in.

Bet: Bryson DeChambeau top-5 finish (+475)

"It's basically bash driver down there, and then figure it out from there ..."

That's how Rory McIlroy described the strategy off the tee at Aronimink in his Tuesday press conference, which plays perfectly into DeChambeau's hands. If distance is to be rewarded more than accuracy off the tee, why wouldn't you feel comfortable backing DeChambeau? The long-hitting LIV star has finished as a runner-up in back-to-back PGA Championships, but we're getting inflated odds on him because he missed the cut at the Masters.

Bet: Matt Fitzpatrick top-10 finish (+225)

Fitzpatrick is one of my favorite bets to win the tournament. He's being undervalued despite entering the weekend in arguably the best form of his career. He has two victories since the Masters, and he nearly won the Players Championship in March. While Fitzpatrick may not be the longest player off the tee, he makes up for it with elite iron play and a wicked short game - both of which will be tested with Aronimink's tricky set of greens.

Bet: Rickie Fowler top-20 finish (+225)

Fowler is having a mini-resurgence. Thanks to some impressive ball-striking numbers, he's placed inside the top 10 in three consecutive signature events and has nine top-20s in his last 13 starts. These odds seem very reasonable for a player in such good form.

Bet: Cameron Young (-115) over Jon Rahm

Young is arguably the best player in the world, while Rahm has contended in only one major since the start of 2024. I'll concede that the course suits both players' games well, but I don't see these two as equal players at the moment, which is what these odds suggest.

Bet: Alex Fitzpatrick top-40 finish (+140)

I'm targeting both Fitzpatricks this week, since the younger brother, Alex, is in equally impressive form. The 27-year-old won the Indian Open on the DP World Tour, then came to the PGA TOUR and claimed a team event with his brother. Since securing his PGA TOUR card, Alex placed T9 at the Cadillac Championship and finished fourth last week at Quail Hollow.

Bet: Sudarshan Yellamaraju top-40 finish (+225) and top Canadian (+275)

Yellamaraju was one of the last entrants into the field, but that shouldn't diminish how well he's playing. In his first year on the PGA TOUR, the 24-year-old leads all Canadians on the FedEx Cup points list and has missed only one cut. Yellamaraju is extremely long off the tee, which should help him navigate Aronimink in his first major championship appearance. The rest of the Canadian contingent isn't overly impressive right now, making Yellamaraju the play.

Bet: Nicolai Hojgaard - Top Danish golfer (-140)

Nicolai Hojgaard is playing much better than his twin brother, Rasmus, and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, the third Dane competing at the PGA Championship. Nicolai was third in the field in strokes gained: tee to green at last week's Truist Championship, and he has three top-three results this season.
