Report: Giants, Houser agree to 2-year, $22M contract

The San Francisco Giants and right-hander Adrian Houser have agreed to a two-year, $22-million contract, ESPN's Jeff Passan reports.

The deal includes a third-year team option.

The 32-year-old split last season between the Chicago White Sox and Tampa Bay Rays.

Houser was authoring a 2.10 ERA and 3.34 FIP with the White Sox over 11 starts before getting sent to the Rays at the deadline for a package that included first base prospect Curtis Mead. He then posted a 4.79 ERA and 4.38 FIP over his final 10 starts with Tampa Bay.

The nine-year veteran possesses a career 4.06 ERA and 4.19 FIP and has primarily worked as a starter.

He joins a Giants rotation led by ace Logan Webb and lefty Robbie Ray.

The Giants also added right-handed reliever Jason Foley on Tuesday, the team announced.

Foley owns a 3.16 ERA and 3.82 FIP in 210 career appearances over four seasons.

The 30-year-old missed the entire 2025 campaign after undergoing right shoulder surgery. He's expected to return by midseason.
