Report: Kelce returning for 14th season with Chiefs
Veteran tight end Travis Kelce is returning for a 14th season with the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year, $12-million contract that's worth up to $15 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
This past season marked the final year of Kelce's previous contract. The Chiefs endured a disappointing 2025 campaign and missed the playoffs for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era.
Kelce, 36, could've landed a major contract if he tested the tight end market this offseason, notes NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The 11-time Pro Bowler hasn't topped 1,000 yards since 2022, but he still caught 76 passes for 851 yards and five touchdowns across 17 games in 2025.
His return is key for a Chiefs team trying to bounce back and make another deep postseason run.
The three-time Super Bowl champion is the NFL's active leader in career receptions with 1,080.
