Report: Dolphins to sign QB Willis to 3-year, $67.5M contract
The Miami Dolphins will sign quarterback Malik Willis to a three-year, $67.5-million contract with $45 million guaranteed, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Dolphins were in need of a starting quarterback after announcing earlier Monday that they'll cut Tua Tagovailoa at the start of the new league year Wednesday.
In Miami, Willis is set to reunite with ex-Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, whom the Dolphins hired as head coach in January.
The Liberty product was among the top free-agent quarterbacks available.
Willis threw for 422 yards and three touchdowns across four appearances for the Packers last season. He also ran for 123 yards and two scores.
Willis' plus-0.38 EPA per dropback over the last two campaigns led all quarterbacks with at least 100 dropbacks, according to Next Gen Stats.
The Tennessee Titans selected him in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He started three games for the team over two seasons before being traded to Green Bay in August 2024.
