Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak will become the new head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, he confirmed to Stacey Dales of NFL Network.

It was reported in the weeks leading up to Super Bowl LX that the Raiders were finalizing an agreement with Kubiak. However, the coveted Seahawks assistant declined to make things official before the big game.

The Seahawks took down the New England Patriots 29-13 to win the championship Sunday in Kubiak's final game with the team.

Kubiak, 38, generated head coaching interest after helping Seattle build a well-rounded offense with quarterback Sam Darnold under center.

Although Kubiak's unit scored only one touchdown against the Patriots in the Super Bowl, it won a 31-27 shootout versus the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC title game.

In Las Vegas, Kubiak will inherit a team with major question marks on both sides of the ball. One of the Raiders' biggest issues is at quarterback, but the team is widely expected to select Indiana passer and Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Raiders won only three games in 2025 and parted ways with coach Pete Carroll at the end of the season.

Las Vegas' last two full-time head coaches - Carroll and Antonio Pierce - went one-and-done with the team.
